Assessment

I have had the privilege of working on a number of marketing campaigns that have mainly been customer centric. However, the most recognizable was making a sales pitch for my organization seeking business partnership with another business. The sales pitch mainly entailed a proposal for a strategic business alliance that would see my organization engage in strategic logistics and transportation partnership.

The proposed partnership would result in the reduction in operational costs for both companies, while ensuring increased sales over time. This would be achieved through opening up each company’s market share to their products and services. During the creation of the sales pitch, information pertaining to potential partner was sourced for within the online business universe providing crucial data on its operations, mission and vision relative to market trends and consumer behavior.

CRM played a crucial part in the successful execution of the sales pitch. One of the most significant roles was building a good understanding of the potential business partner, enabling the sales team to be able to tailor the sales pitch to the partner’s needs, mission, vision and goal, relative to the company’s own mission and vision (Goodey, 2013).

CRM was also crucial in helping the tea, get organized by organizing information pertaining to the partner, the proposed partnership and the market in a manner that provides a clear basis and foundation for decision making. This was crucial in developing a complete view of the partner and the potential pitfalls that may lie with the proposed partnership.

In conclusion, CRM is a critical aspect of sales and marketing. Through the application of CRM strategies and tools such as SalesForce CRM, the sales team was able to develop a unique and effective sales pitch. This sales pitch played a critical part in ensuring the organization engaged in an n important strategic alliance that would give the company an edge within its market, while open up new markets to its products and services.
