The economic growth is equal to the decrease in carrying capacity of an area. The economic growth and the decline in the carrying capacity of an area suggest that there will be conflicts arising from the competition for resources in the future. Consequently, there are many who will not survive.

Economy and the Land Ethic

A think tank consortium believes that in order to evade the detriment of the global economic and environmental systems, a migration to a holistic approach is required. Holism is delineated by Leopold’s “The Land Ethic”. The present capitalistic system has been the causal attribute of inequality. These inequalities include abuse of workers economic stagnation and sexism.  Adaptability and innovation are required in order to overcome the belief systems and rigid structures. Adaptability and innovation must be a mutual purpose for all humanity.
