For the last three years, Michael Jordan has maintained a remarkable record in athlete and majority of the Americans have expressed their satisfaction when selecting Michael Jordan as their favorite athlete. Michael Jordan was born in USA and he has been a good player in baseball and basketball scenario. According to a study that was reported in the Sports Business journal, 4.1% of the respondents picked Michael Jordan as the most preferred athlete. Michael Jordan is therefore the most favorite basket ball player. Michael Jordan has been chosen as the greatest player in the game of basketball thence creating a status of a legend in basketball that can only be compared to an international celebrity status. Michael Jordan has emerged victorious in the NCAA championship in basketball, two gold medals in Olympic as well as six NBA championships.

Michael Jordan plays a very important role as a role model for the children and has greatly influenced them to like and engage in basketball as one of the important sports. Michael Jordan is an admirable champion who has gone through extremely difficult episodes as well as glory days alike. Michael Jordan is an enviable hero because he can display important qualities honor, achievement as well as courage that can only be equated to a great person. Michael Jordan is also associated with a special personality and has a lifestyle that has important influence to the society. His decision to play basketball was influenced by his brother, Larry through beating which made him to develop the determination for becoming a better player in the game of basketball. Michael Jordan therefore took ac      tive initiative in this game with his first game being in his high school as a sophomore where he never succeeded. He was never irritated by this failure because it was an episode that explained to him what disappointment was really like. Michael Jordan never gave up after the failures that he first encountered but made use of such opportunity to impel for greater heights of achievements with vigorous practice.

Michael Jordan was lucky to have been awarded a scholarship for basketball by North Carolina University. This was a great opportunity for Michael Jordan to gain popularity after having scored and won in NCAA championship in 1982. After two years, Michael Jordan was recruited in the NBA where he gained three titles. A misery befell Michael Jordan during this time when he lost his father, James Jordan to death. The death of his father was a cause for loss of motivation that prompted him to perform poorly. However, he attuned to a new challenge of playing professional basketball and this made him to rejoin NBA. His courage resulted to winning three additional titles in NBA and these were very important accomplishments that made him to be considered as a perfect basketball player. Michael Jordan has been a great inspiration and motivating through his spoken words. He says that, during his basketball career, he has missed over 9000 shots and lost over 300 games. Michael Jordan has also been trusted in embracing some game-winning shots and although he has failed in so many occasions, this has been considered as a means of inspiring his success. Michael Jordan epitomizes a great player in basketball while displaying courage, excellence and honor. Michael Jordan has also been an energetic as well as an inspirational player in NBA.
