1 First, how would you give a biological definition of sex? Give your own definition and what you think it means in the context of society.

Sex in biological terms refers to genetic and physical features of the body which gives a clear distinction between male and female. In my view, sex is the outward features of the body such as the private organs which gives a distinction between male and females.

2 How do you believe the sexual revolution and counter-revolution, has influenced the events taking place in this class? Support your statements with examples (from textbook or other sources).

Sexual revolution refers to drastic and widespread change in sexual responsibilities and perception. Sexual counter-revolution is aimed to free both women and men, reiterates the pride of human love and respects marriage. Issues regarding Sexual revolution and counter-revolution caused the organization of social movements among the students. It also resulted to the alteration of the students relations especially between male and female students.

3 Examine the different issues at play here. Why do you believe the girls may be more concerned with teen pregnancy and subjects of abortion more so than the boys?

Adolescence is a period in a person’s life span when most alterations of their body features occurred. This is a period of transformation from a child to an adult, in this period girls can get be pregnant if they engaged in unprotected sex. Boys too can father a child in this stage, in teen therefore, girls are more concerned with pregnancies and abortion matters because they are the one affected mostly.

4 Why might the boys think condoms and birth control are funny subjects? What influence do you believe the subjects of pornography, prostitution (especially in media), and pre-marital sex have upon adolescents?

The birth control methods and the use of condoms are funny subjects among boys, how condoms are applied and the eager for them to apply makes the issue funny. When the boys imagined the various methods of birth control they are taught in class also sounds funny. Subjects on prostitution, pornography and pre-marital sex are immoral especially to young people. Such subjects can encourage the adolescents to try them out and thus, can be infected with sexual diseases among other dangers.

5 Examine the three theoretical analyses of sexuality. Which one do you believe applies to this situation? According to information from the textbook, in which theory do you believe these children probably believe?

One of the theoretical analyses of sexuality is Intersectional, this analyses social relationships and constructed groupings such as race, gender, disability, class, and other aspects of individuality interact on concurrent levels, causing regular social inequality. Another theory is Evolutionary psychology (EP) which seeks to outline psychological features like language, perception among others in individuals. The third is theory is adaptation approach which seeks to resolve frequent tribulations in human ancestral issues. Evolutionary psychology (EP) theory is perfectly applicable to this case.

6 What influence do you believe the recent gay rights movement has had on this classroom environment? What does the textbook have to say regarding matters of sexual orientation?

The recent gay rights give an impression that, the practice is generally accepted in the society. However, only certain rights and employment positions were accessible for them. Gay community still has some legal restrictions regarding freedom, the liberty to adopt a child devoid of difficulties of sexual orientation. They also face complexities on their marriage; the text book outlines how sexual orientation affects the gay community.

7 Why do you think both the boys and girls may have equal opinions regarding matters of abortion? Explain the two major positions of abortion and how this may influence the different generations.

Both boys and girls have equal opinions regarding issues of abortions simply because they are all implicated in the issue. An astounding number of Americans supported Republican President and Congress since they believed the Party best concerned with their moral matters, such as the practice of abortion. The stand on abortion issues by religion that the intentional abortion of a fetus is just like committing murder to any other person and thus, is condemned by the religion. Practice of abortion in a society causes a decline in the number of future generations.
