Essay

Staples US is a largely effective organization that provides office supplies in a rather strategic manner that does not only correspond to what the public needs but also to what the public directly requires. To serve as a proof to this claim, the years 2013 to 2015 have shown a greatly defined point of performance for the company as it faces the trend of expansion and progress that all other thriving organizations in the US experiences.

For instance, the net income in 2013 has reached a 212 [USD] million revenue for the company while it increased up to 5.7 [USD] billion at the end-quarter of 2014. However, in 2015, the first three quarters of sales have resulted to a 5.3 [USD] billion revenue which is considered by the administrators of the company as a massive drop from the past performance of the organization [even though there is still one more quarter left to the year]. Such a downturn of revenues could be accounted from the incurrence of particular transition failures that happened during the said year, which shall be discussed further in the paragraphs that follow. The overall net profit of the company could also be noted to have a distinct source of development on how the business engages with both local and international conditions of operations. Practically coming at least within 16% of increase each year of operation, Staples US major net profit provides a more distinct sense of indication that the business is indeed growing from one point of progress towards another.

According to the Chief Executive Officer of the company in the person of Ron Sargent, “We grew our sales in our North American delivery businesses and stabilized profitability across the company, which reflects continued progress on our strategic reinvention” (2014-revenue report online). This statement proves how the administration believes that in the process of their growth, the company has indeed reached a sense of distinct success, one that best fits the capacity of the organization to provide what they have promised their target market with. Basing from the record of the company; in relation to the performance that they have been noted for [within the past three years of operation], there were three particular points of considerable performance that could be understood to have a remarkable impact on the reputation of the company. These three factors of success include the following:

  1. Stable reputation [established through years of proper business operation within branches across the nation]

STAPLES US has basically created a rather stable name in the business industry; one that is recognized by all branches across the country. Noticeably, it could be understood that when it comes to this point of recognition, STAPLES US is a known organization that every investor knows about [thus developing a point of trust] that allows the business to attract more interested investors to take a part of the operational growth that the company is currently undergoing.

The trust that the market has placed upon the operational progress of the business has made it easier for the business to make a mark on the perception of the buyers [making the company’s products among the top choices that buyers pick].

  1. Strategic approach to keeping the company within the grid of trend especially in providing what the market expects from a company of their caliber.

High Quality and satisfying service; these are among the most basic points of performance edge that STAPLES US is known for.
