Introduction

The effects of high and extreme Ultraviolet rays have brought about the innovation of products that has led to evolution of companies like tanning salons. This company has gone to an extend of using bronze as the most important alloys to make their products.

Bronze

Bronze is an alloy, mixture of two metals made up of copper and tin in various proportions sometimes with the traces of other metals like hints of Zinc, Lead, nickel and phosphorous. It was first established in southwest Asia from about 3000 BC and Europe 1500 years before the birth of Christ. It is produced by blending copper and tin in various amounts depending on the application (Raymond, 1994).

In its preparation, it is made by smelting copper and tin together and additives may be added for the bronze to be more workable.   Additional elements such as manganese, lead and phosphorus are added to create bronze with specific properties. Bronze is not a natural element but an alloy made up of various elements. There are many bronze alloys but the most common alloy used for artwork is silicon bronze which is made up of 96% copper, 3% silicone and 1% manganese. This kind of silicon bronze is easy to cast with welds nicely and takes patina well (Raymond, 1994).

Another type of bronze includes phosphor bronze which is used for casting parts such as low pressure valves and tin together and fittings among other.

Tanning salon

This is a company which has many branches all over the United States that was developed to provide you with the resources you need to make good decisions about your sun exposure. It has helped many people in various ways. Proto-cool bronze tanning is an innovative product from tanning Salon Company in the form of capsules having a mixture of beta-carotene, alpha-carotene, Cryptoxanthin, lutein, Vitamin E, sunflower seed oil, gelatine and glycerol (Michelle, 2010).

This product has helped people whose skin is sensitive to the rays of sun and exposure to sun for them is bound due to unwanted skin irritations and conditions and hence it provides them with tan through these tanning capsules. Bronze which is a by product of copper and tin is used by this company to make cover-up. This is important to those people who wish to walk along due to their activities when there is present of ultraviolet rays that they are bound to it for irritation and conditions of their skin (Michelle, 2010).

UV index forecast

UV index is a method used to determine or forecast daily risk of our exposure to sun rays. The index is used to show or predict the UV intensity levels using 0 – 10 + scale. 0 scale indicates that there is minimal risk of the exposure while 10+ scales indicates that the exposure to sun rays is high. UV index gives a person a clear picture on how he or she organizes him or her self when leaving his or her house. This device was developed by the national weather services and environmental protection agency. It is important since it shows the next day risks of exposure to the sun rays (Ronald, 1993).

How it works

During low exposure especially on bright days, you are advised to wear sun glasses for protection.  During this time, many people may feel burning which is recommended to cover up your face and use sun blocks.

During moderate exposure, precautions are taken by covering up and using sunscreen. You are expected to remain under shade during midday when the sun is strong. Finally, when UV ray is high, protection is needed against sunburn hence this can be avoided by reducing time spend on sun and use of sun block is needed (Ronald, 1993).

More over, sometimes UV lights can be at a very high state that extra precautions should be taken. Unprotected skin could be damaged and can burn easily. This is taken into consideration by avoiding sun, seeking shade, wearing sun hat and glasses and use of sun block.

It reaches to an extend where by UV lights are extreme that the skin is at high risk of burning. Same precautions as those of very high UV lights are taken into consideration. In addition, watch UV index is used daily to monitor its variation and hence can be avoided by using sun lamps and tanning parlors.

Conclusion

All in all, bronze have played a big role to many people since it has provided cover against dangerous UV rays. In other words, it has provided tanning salons with income through selling of their cover up products to their clients.
