Power and decision making uniformly balance within the teams at my current place of employment

A team formed by a group of persons complementary skills, committed to serving, perform duties, approaching them in a strategic manner. They are mutually accountable for all outcomes. A team needs functional expertise skills, problem-solving, decision-making skills, and interpersonal skills. Commitment to attaining goals enables a team achieves its purpose. A strategic approach of working together to attain a certain goal is essential. Here, each team member must contribute decisions on who is to perform a task, when and how task done.

A considerable challenge comes in when there should be a balance of power in the decision-making process within teams in my working place. This is because power, decision-making, and leadership relate strongly in a work environment. Those in power would generally like their decisions to have more effect than other peoples’ decisions. However, there is the positive side of addressing power and its acquisition, power based development and proper use of power.

In my working environment, there is diversity, interdependence, and power dynamics. There is balance in decision-making process within the teams. With time, group members assume different leadership roles as challenging, summarizing, integrating, and supporting. There is mutual accountability where people do work hand in hand to attain a given goal, where, trust and commitment automatically follows. This has resulted into achieving the common purpose. The members interact freely and share critical information regarding decision making, which enables individuals to carry out responsibilities accountably. There is high confidence and commitment. Power and decision making uniformly balanced in within the teams at my current place of employment.
