It was December 20. 2007 when my family and I decided to leave for a Christmas vacation, we woke up a little late than we had planned; we grabbed our suitcase which  we had prepared the night before, our tickets and our passports. Before leaving our home stead, we had to obey our family culture, my family has developed a tradition whereby before any kind of vacation we have to put our hands together and seek permission from the almighty God, and soon we drove off to the airport. There was heavy traffic but we made it on time to catch the flight. We were heading to Madagascar which happens to be an isolated island in the Indian Ocean located not far from South Africa.

The flight turned out to been long on contrary to our expectation, it seemed to us as if we would never make to Madagascar but after a number of anxious hours on the plane we finally land on the Island .The first day on the Island was captivating, in that it helped me forget the stress I incurred while at work. The combination of blistering heat and picturesque vegetation made the Island lovely. Where we pitched our tent, the environment was tranquil and the water nearby crystal clear providing us with a chance to see fish swimming underneath it waters that were flowing across the resort. Every day on the Island was one of its own; the peak of our vacation was on 25^th of that month which happened to be on Christmas day, we happened to rave at the beach where we were really entertained, not to mention the charming, lively young ladies who entertained visitors to the resort with songs and dances. The night was too short; unfortunately we had to bode a plane back to our homestead in Bahamas early the next morning. To this moment, I don’t regret my escape from work to have the vacation because it was indeed a great vacation.
