The Core Concepts of Transmedia Storytelling, Essay Example

The course brought about a new awareness about digital platforms with advance technology and the Core Concepts of Transmedia Storytelling. However, the most interesting and intriguing video was about the “Numinous Place” video called the Curator by Mark Andrew Staufer. The work that has been done on the digital front could be compared to Bill Gates building some of the first computers in his garage or black and white movies being converted to color. The short video with interactive visual storytelling did more in 4 minutes that some movies have done in 3 hours. The message, the design, the buildings, and the visual of the story had a different feel from a regular video or digital presentation. The video took the view into hundreds of different realms in a span of a few minutes while daring to venture into the dreams into digital output.

The multidimensional work of fiction that combines lucid dreaming with the state of consciousness. Marks storytelling is so unique that is takes the story that is fictional and tells in in a different way using all different types of applications and along with digital mastery at new levels never seen until Numinous Place. The world has never seen a delivery of fiction that is not a book and not e-book but a digital masterpiece that takes the person and the mind into the new world of digital storytelling (Backhouse). The thought that Mark Staufer can talk years of studying death and dreams while taking all this information to enter another dream realm of the mind is mind blowing. The current e-books that are top of the line cannot even compare to the multidimensional of what Mark calls TNP. The 4-minute video is so impressive that it makes the average person rethink what they believe as tradition. The new digital form of storytelling is one the most exciting technologies that will break the barrier of integrated all digital medias.
