The Ethical slut
The ethical slut is a book that handles facets concerning polygamy, open relationships and other adventures on human sexuality and lifestyles. The book has been done by two authors, Dossie Easton and Janet Hardy. In the introduction, the book has clearly defined the terms “ethical slut, human beliefs, myths and realities, and infinite possibilities in love.” The book covers topics such as slut skills, boundaries, abundance, flirting and cruising, and keeping sex safe. Other topics talks of how to navigate challenges. Moreover, Dossie and Janet have explored on slut utopia. Dossie and Janet offer practical guidelines that are subtle to individuals coy to practice polygamy (Easton and Hardy 16). It is an eye opener to the facts and figures one should consider before making a decision to live singly, practice sex and yet have children to care for. As a result of Dossie’s and Janet’s book, many people all over the world have got sheer inspirations to go polygamous. To wrap up on the issue of polygamy, Janet and Dossie have considered love and sexuality as the two elements that drive one to be what he or she wants to be (Ley 23-30).
The ethical slut exemplifies on open relationships. It fosters that open love, sex, and companionship are essential rudiments in human life. Dossie and Janet explore on humorous and honesty options in tackling sexually complicated and blended family relationships. For one to live a comfortable and the irreproachable life, he or she has to be evenhanded and eloquent in handling matters concerning love, sex and the limits of companionship. Dossie claims that every individual in the universe is in need of love, care and companionship at one particular time in a lifetime. Therefore, it is very possible for one to navigate through and epitomize polygamy. Janet uses myths besides necessary skills to live a better polygamous life. These myths include facets as honest communication, personality reflection on matters concerning sex, and raising of healthy families out of polygamy (Easton Liszt 46-61). Moreover, the book touches on how strong and safe families are built in relation to equitable discussions, honor of family boundaries and solving conflicts on time (Warner 78).
In conclusion, the ethical slut is an explicit guide towards the creation and sustenance of conscious relationships. These relationships include polygamous, open, alternative and even monogamous. It majors on individuals who are at a prime of making concrete ethical decisions as engaging, disarming, among others (Easton and Hardy 12-16).
