Disciplinary actions based on schools of thought
The disciplinary actions were based on different schools of psychology as they represent important and major theories that can be used to determine the form or kind of disciplinary actions to take for an errant member of the group. However, the schools of thought were not used in their entirety because they were not suitable considering that some of the scenario details were not fit for such decisions. It is important to note that most of the school of thought and the implication of the disciplinary actions were not explicit in terms of basis and foundation, some of the disciplinary actions have been argued as not commensurate to the breaches. On the other hand, most of them depict an eclectic outlook on fundamental issues drawing ideas and theories from experiences that revolve around these issues.
Accordingly, the schools of psychology have also explained the phenomenon touching on a range of reason why the breaching party must be subjected to disciplinary actions. Some of the argument are based on deterrent concept as the disciplinary action taken against a breaching party can deter other would be or potential breaches. The concept of punishment has been supported by a range of schools of psychology such as structuralism and behaviorism, functionalism, psychoanalysis, cognitive psychology and humanistic psychology among others.
Though the concept of disciplinary action has not been conveyed fully, it has been used to shape various antisocial and professional malpractices that were bedeviling professionals in the group, the malpractices involves breaches whereby individuals furthered their personal interest at the expenses of the group in addition to professional misconducts. The concept has also been used to shape individuals in the group as well as the society leading to the develop0ment of sustainable relationships amongst the group members (Mandel, 1987, p 123).
Relevant theoretical guidelines and regulatory requirements
It is imperative to note that the regulatory requirement that all groups and board must have a code of ethics geared at guiding and regulation or controlling the actions of the subjects, as was argued by Karl Marx,, each and every society must be under some guiding principles as man does not have in innate moral duty of care to fellow men and to himself. Each and every civilized society must be guided by a set of rules to control their actions thereof. Behaviorism as the leading school of psychology has emphasized that all human behaviors can be explained by the influence of environmental factors rather than internal factors. Essentially, this school of thought is abased on observable behaviors and has attracted the attention of behavioral scientists and other researchers interested in discovering the mechanism of learning. (Mandel, 1987, p 132)
The main economic schools of psychology are utopian economics state socialism, Marxian economics, and classical political economy. The subjects in these economies rely on a set of rules, which if breached the breaching parties; the caveat is the serious consequences that shall follow. Each of these schools of thought differs by their presentation and interpretation of specific economic phenomenon for instance consumer behavior (Cleveland & Ruth, 1997, p38).
Conclusion
All the points in the code of conducts are supposed to be followed and the arguments based on impracticality of the disciplinary actions are the overriding principles of the codes as they were created with the aim of deterring the potential breaches.
