The organizations in the healthcare sector operates in an environment which is complex. The reason is that they require to focus on achieving the solutions of health care that is the best in spite of facing many constraints. These hurdles comprises of problems with technology, quality care issues, administration problems and other various issues. The organization selected for this paper to show the linkage is the ‘Metro Hospital’ in Brisbane. This hospital has reached the HIMSS 7th level EMR model of adoption (Model, 2008). It focuses on implementing a system which is paperless by relying on the information systems which are used to generate the reports of EMR (Model, 2008).

The organization aims at developing a record for the electronic medical in the whole hospital. This will help the medical care organizations and hospitals to ensure that the records of medical are managed effectively (Hjørland, Birger, 2011). This also ensures that the information of clinic is shared readily with the help of a centralized and standardized system of transaction. This makes it possible for the system to become efficient extremely.

The selected hospital i.e. Metro Hospital is Brisbane needs the implementation of this information system to enhance the facilities of medical care by ensuring better medical records efficiency and accuracy (Kaplan & Norton, 2001).This also supports the hospital in ensuring that the system of medical is improved and is easily accessible and sustainable. It also supports in utilizing the technology’s effective use and the information system in the Brisbane’s Metro hospital. So the EMR HIMSS 7th level adoption model proves extremely beneficial for the Metro Hospital (Kaplan & Norton, 2001).

The main aim of this EMR program is to ensure the efficiency and accurate use of the information system in the organizations of health care. It is crucial that the changes to be carried on in 3 stages. One stage is the change pilot testing. The second stage is the implementation of change (Model, 2008). The third is the feedback and controlling stage. The present situation of the selected hospital i.e. Metro hospital can be said that it depend on the paper model where the hospital transactions and the patients records are maintained on the hospital records. In order to update these large records information and accessing the information requires the maintenance of various files where their records are different and varies from department to department (Kaplan & Norton, 2001).There is a requirement for the system of transaction. The growth potential areas are the basic areas in the user capability and in date which comprises of the database use. This is the place where there is data sharing which helps in the provision of a user friendly platform and training for the improvement and better system utilization. In this way Metro hospital aims to deliver a better and efficient health care delivery system and can build a link with that of other healthcare organizations. Also this health care information system and link will help in the creation of a better potential growth for usage (Kaplan & Norton, 2001).
