Essay

Is the use of armed drones a moral or effective military tactic?

The use of drones for military advantage over other countries is moral but becomes immoral when it’s used to hurt or suppress a nation of people. The United States military uses drones to detect possible invasions of the United States of America. In the event, of another 911 attack on the United States drones can better detect enemy attacks from abroad or on the United States soil. The armed drones could have notified the United States of the potential crashing into the twin towers. The use of drones to bring to justice a vicious killer Osama Bin Laden could be a moral dilemma to take a life of a criminal that killed hundreds of Americans.

There has been some problems in the news with drones dropping bombs in kill Taliban and ISIS actually hit a hospital that killed many unsuspecting sick patients. The United States apologized for the mistake because Central Intelligence was given a tip that the ISIS groups were at this location which the drone dropped a bomb.  The incident was a mistake but in this instance it is unethical and unmoral to drop a bomb using a drone that killed sick people in the hospital. The United States military needs to put better policies and procedures in place before they drop a bomb on unsuspecting innocent people.  However, the bomb was an intentional act of war by the United States that is trying to bomb ISIS in Iraq. The target was ISIS who did not have any remorse for fighting the war near the hospital which clearly shows they will go at any lengths to destroy the world including the United States. The death of innocent people is a tragedy in any country however ISIS is a clear and present danger to the world. The United States military has every right to use any weapon, tactic or intelligence to bring the ISIS to justice and stop their attack on human life. It is quite clear that moral issues should be considered but once the war has been engaged to stop evil the drones should be used to protect the people.
