There are new trends in terms of development. Technology has come up with the computer and this field continues to generate more innovations. Computers have a positive and negative effect on the society. This is regarding the daily operations in the activities that people engage in within a particular society.

How do computers influence the society positively?

One great thing about computer introduction to the society is the ease of tasks. Earlier on, many tasks could take so much time than expected to complete. The time taken was a hindrance to development because some activities need fast completion to assist movement to new stages of operation. With the computer, the tasks are fast and reliable.

Computers have enlightened the society. The old ages of manual operations are no more. It has been through computers that there has been a creation of new jobs. Technical jobs are the new happenings in the industry with software engineering gaining popularity within the society. The society receives advancement in relevant fields with an introduction of highly skilled labor and innovativeness (John 69).

How do the computers affect a society negatively?

However, there is a negative side of computer technology. Computers are deemed a danger to individual employment. Due to the introduction of computers, many people have lost their jobs. The computers have come with an aspect of easing the human tasks. They are doing human tasks faster and with few people operating them. As a result, there has been a lay off. This reduces the long-term purchasing power in the society and it is detrimental to development.

The computer has driven away societal norms. From the onset of computer technology, many people have developed a new culture. The values of the society are slowly drawing away from the individuals into this technology. The computer introduction, links to negative aspects of technology including ‘evil’ websites. This is a blow to the upright morals of the society especially the youth of the society. It is losing the normal status of societal operations and bringing in conflict of interest in the society (Balkin 10-19)

However, with the changes in the world trends, the society cannot do without computers. It would therefore be better for an introduction of new ways to handle the situation emanating from the introduction of this technology. There will be more and more innovations and the influence get the better part of the society.

The Way Television Is Affecting the Youth

Technology is good on one side yet it brings forth negative influences to the society. The introduction of television has had a great impact to the society. The youth have been the most affected by television especially in the current trend. With the television, the most influential part applies in shows broadcasted, advertisements and many other aspects related to the television.

How serious is television affecting the youth negatively?

The lifestyle of the youth has been hit by a major influence literally, by what they watch in the television and the online shows (Balkin 10-19). Celebrities have had a greater share of the influence to these youths. In the broadcasting, celebrity songs have hit the youth either positively or negatively. They have led to transformations in many youth’s lifestyles. The youth have adopted the way the celebrities live including their clothing and other behavioral attributes. The youth want to be like these celebrities to hit a mark in the society. They even go to appoint of going against what their societies demand living their own life of ‘pleasure.’

The television has hit the innovativeness of the youth negatively. So many youths are spending hours watching television. They do not have time to think or handle challenges in life. What they watch gives them a negative direction of life. The most influential in this aspect include soap operas, movies and shows of their preference. Innovativeness is no more for these youths and they have had a lagging mind. This is dangerous because the youths cannot handle difficult times especially challenges in life (Khadijah 1:0).

Fitness has been hit badly with the introduction of the television. Watching television is becoming a hobby for majority of these youths. It is what they do most of their leisure time. After schools, the teens are home following their favorite cartoons and other television shows. This is creating unhealthy lifestyle. However, the television has also been educative. It has enlightened many youths on many life aspects. The youth have access to useful information concealed in the heads of many people. This information adds to the innovativeness and compatibility with the new lifestyle in the modern world.

Internet Facilitating Pornography in the Society

There is a new information age where the internet has ventured in the society. The internet brings forth many influences both negative and positive. From the inception of the internet in the world’s society, the world has become a global village. Many applications have been successful using internet. However, there has been an element of pornography been facilitated through internet. This has been a blow to the societal norms as well as highly skilled labor values holding the society.

How is internet pornography facilitated?

Pornography from the internet applies in many ways. Child pornography, known as Pedophilia is a part of the internet pornography spreading across the internet. Technology in this case has come with very negative attributes. Pornography in the internet has been showcased through nude images of both sexes in respective websites. Videos have also been availed in some of these sites. The interested people can download these videos and save the photos in their hard disks anytime. Most of these sites are free to attract the majority and hit on high traffic for sites (Johanna 102–109)

The child pornography has been a booming business. This is leading to other issues including the abduction and kidnapping of children to play a role in the production of the pornography. The introduction of Sexual Exploitation Act to control child pornography has not been successful. Many of these teens in the pornographic websites are forced into business. They do not have options rather than to comply with the orders of the respective commanders.

Commercial sex workers have also been thriving through the internet pornography. They display their pictures in respective websites to advertise their services. Their business has taken another turn to prosperity in a great place where they can outsource customers. This has also taken majority of the young women and men to act in this industry. It is a booming business and many people are earning a lively hood in engaging in this field.

Why is internet pornography difficult to control?

Even with the law enforcement prevailing to act on curbing the practice, the industry continues to thrive. The webmaster attempt to control the situation hits a dead end because there are many computer hackers in the industry running these sites illegally and spreading pornographic videos and pictures across the globe. It is an uncontrollable practice by now and continues to spread over generations (Brenner 6)

Technology in this respect brings in an element deviance in the society. Even when we talk of being in the modernized and revolution age, a lot in the negative perspective is going wrong with our society.
