Trainees Needs Analysis, Assessment Example

It is essential to take into consideration the needs and requirements of trainee if a company’s goal are to be achieved. It is crucial for the trainee to improve. Knowing the attitude of the trainee towards the work presented to him or her is also an essential aspect. This is done through assessment. Assessment can be viewed as a diagnostic tool, and it can either be formative or summative. The supervisor plays a significant role in the assessment process, although an external assessor can also be involved. This essay involves analysis of trainees assessment data results, based on managerial conflict.

Majority of the individuals agreed that co-worker relations were strong. In fact, judging from the results the majority consider themselves as a team. Only 1% did not think so. These are the interpreted results of the 1^st part of the assessment. The 2^nd part aims at the reflection of individuals, and from the results, it seems like a fair number are rational individuals with well set goals and take failure as a growth. A few appear to be mean or too aggressive and are not open minded for changes. The results from the 3^rd part of the assessment showed that most individuals are not egocentric and selfish. Most were ready to approach a problem and tackle it in a civilized manner. Again, most show their optimistic nature and their team building spirits.

The 4^th part of the assessed ability to handle emotions among individuals and from the results it seems it is below average. It also showed that a majority of the individuals were not too eager to acquire additional information. The 5^th part involved skill ranking, and it seems most if not all, were poor at nonverbal communication while verbal communication came in second last on the list. Leading meetings is a well mastered skill. The 6^th part included conflict resolving and seems most individuals embraced team work, as they opted to discuss among themselves and work together towards a solution on how to resolve the conflict.
