Presidential candidates Barack Obama and Mitt Romney seem to have been subjected to the same realm of campaign approach that confronts the American society today. Among the social controversies that are tackled in most of President Barack Obama’s speeches is his outpouring support for same-sex marriage and abortion. In this case, it could be realized that the aspect of politics create an argument between the needs and the morality of the people. This is the reason why in deciding which candidate to vote in elections, people often involve their personal considerations on the specific controversies that the candidates tackle and how they take their stand in each issue. Hence, this makes the campaign approaches of candidates most likely related to how the people would appeal not only to what they think, what they plan or what they want but also on who they are.
