The two authors both notable similarities and differences in their poetic styles as revealed in their works of Vigil strange I kept on the field on the night and the bell by Walt Whitman and Edgar Allan Poe respectively.  The Repetition of lines is a common practice for both writers in their work to indicate the importance of the situation.

The use of musicality and theatric style to fix verse the poem of Poe is more appealing to the reader and become easy to memorize and represent.  On the other hand, Whitman reaches out to the audience through the exploitation of the current subject worth and the courageous exploration of the content of the subject. Similarly, Whiteman utilizes the style of force identification of the characters in the poem to attract the attention of the audience.  Next, the Poe employs the poetic form of romanticism to shield the readers from guessing the preceding move taken by the poet. In fact, Poe heavily relies on the textbook formula to accomplish the poem. While, Whitman use the romantic style to express the love of nature and includes the seamless subject to reveal the details of life in the city and human existence.

The expression of the object by Poe follows the primary principles of exotic or oriental nature and the extended ago coupled with the desire loss to reach out the audience. However, Whitman applies the notion of the everyday life of the urban residents to relay the specific content of the poem.

Finally, Poe uses the fixed verse forms of writing to deliver the content of the poem to the audience. On the other hand, Whiteman capitalizes on the parallelism and alliteration to achieve the free verse style of wringing in the poem.
