Who is in Charge?
It has been proven time and again throughout history that the ones in power are usually the ones who have the most wealth. Even today, many argue that the only reason Donald Trump has been able to stay on top of his game in regards to the Republican polls is because he has been able to invest a ridiculous amount of money into his own campaign. Because of this, there are a variety of individuals who argue that the superwealthy’s opportunities should be controlled and supervised. What is inherently wrong with this suggestion is that the super wealthy are the ones in power and therefore cannot be taken off their throne. What is meant by this is that because of the manner in which the government is run by the super wealthy in one way or another, there is absolutely no way that the government would actually be able to drive the super wealthy out. Furthermore, it is fair to assume that the super wealthy are in charge of the majority of major things that take place in the United States of America. This is justified by the way in which there may be very intelligent leaders in this world, but if they do not have much money or lack connections that could provide them with money nowadays, they would not be able to get very far in their careers. The world is run by money, and whether individuals like it or not, things are bound to stay this way for a long time to come.
The reason as to why the super wealthy are in charge nowadays is because individuals rely on money to get things done. For example, if an individual were wanting to campaign to be senator, he or she would need funding for his or her campaign. Now, this person could go out in the public and ask for individual donations and slowly build up enough to effectively manage a campaign or he or she would simply go to a billionaire and ask for money. What this would mean, however, would mean that the billionaire would now be able to have a huge influence on the senator at hand. The policies that the senator would now enact would all have to go through the billionaire’s review and he or she would have to ultimately make his or her decision under the billionaire’s advice. In this and many other ways, the super wealthy are able to have a huge impact in the kind of things that go on in the government.
Another instance in which the super wealthy could invariably prove that they are, in fact, in charge of the majority of things that go in the government is portrayed through the military. For example, if there would be a need for certain weaponry throughout a war, it goes without saying that the super wealthy would be the ones deciding whether or not the weaponry should be provided. This is due to the manner in which the super wealthy are often times the ones who are most well-prepared, academically speaking. The super wealthy, for the most part, are those individuals who have been privileged throughout their lives to attend the most elite universities in the world, such as Harvard University or the London School of Economics. The advantage that attending one of these premier, top-of-the-line institutions brings is that individuals are able to get an education from the best professors in the world. With this kind of education, these same individuals are able to land the biggest, most competitive jobs in the world. What this means for a variety of individuals is being able to work in the government and having one of the most prestigious jobs in the world. Despite being extremely well-paid, these individuals are the ones who are ultimately in charge of any and all the actions that take place in the government.
The world is run by money, and whether individuals like it or not, things are bound to stay this way for a long time to come. In order to become super wealthy, there are a set of guidelines that one must follow. If and when these guidelines are followed, individuals rise to become the most influential people in the United States of America. What this means for the majority of the time is that they are given the power and privilege to practically run the whole country. In a way, there are able to influence the kind of standard of living that other individuals who are not so privileged are able to have. For example. if the super wealthy prove to be greedy for a set period of time, then it goes without saying that common people (the less privileged), would not be able to rise to the top throughout their lives. If, however, these super wealthy individuals were to be benevolent, then common people would have the opportunity to become more well educated and ultimately achieve more things throughout their lives.
Throughout the years, many have argued that the manner by which the world is run by the super wealthy is extremely unfair. While this statement might prove to be true more times than not, in actuality, there is not much that can be done about the circumstances. The poor would never be able to deprive the rich from their elite positions because of the manner in which there would be no one to speak for them. Absolutely no one wishes to stand up against the super wealthy (except Bernie Sanders, of course) and if and when individuals do not decide to take a stand against the super wealthy, then it goes without saying that the super wealthy will be able to continue being the most powerful individuals in the world like they are today. Individuals have to accept the reality that in order to be someone influential in this materialistic world, they must attain large sums of money so that they are able to enact whatever kind of change whenever they desire. Without this kind of money, individuals will never be able to achieve the kind of success that they want for their lives because there will always be someone who is richer than them who will be putting in large sums of money in order for things to go his or her way.
