Computer Science: Case Analysis and Resolution Presentation

Introduction

Businesses existing in the modern society that serves the modern society is challenged by the existence of modern technology and how this particular element of improvement could actually help in increasing the capacity of the organization to embrace advancement accordingly. Most likely though, only a few organizations are able to make the most of what is offered to them by elements of modern technology. Most often than not, an effectively designed IT infrastructure could actually improve the way the organization operates accordingly.

Organizations today are challenged to embrace such aspect of improvement especially on how they manage the way they create massive distinctions especially when it comes to mandating a good sense of managing their current resources including the human factor that helps them operate well with the market they hope to serve. For Kris Corporation, such management through the use of an effective IT infrastructure is an essential part of their market function. Noticeably, with the service desired to be provided by the organization to the market it targets to serve, Kris Corporation’s current system needs to be specifically refurnished especially for the sake of developing a better sense of advancement and growth that is open for the organization to embrace.

About Business Operations

Currently, Kris Corporation is one of the primary manufacturers in the automotive industry. With two particular manufacturing branches located in Atlanta and Seattle, the primary distribution branches of the organization are situated in Chicago, Baltimore and San Diego. These five primary operating branches are all connected together through the use of a common network that is used to send in information that is used to communicate the development that the organization embraces at present. With the use of Server 2008, the AD infrastructure of the company remains to be at a slower state, especially when it comes to creating a sense of control especially when it comes to serving the needs of the clients that they hope to influence in the market.

There are currently two domains used to give attention to the operational needs of the organization that is further considered to fuel up the development of the business. The parent domain (kris.local) is the online portal that is used for the major operations that are considered as the mainstream source of the business’ organizational competence. Noticeably, this website serves as the primary portal for transaction that the business tends to engage with. The child domain (corp.cris.local) is used for internal connections; this website serves as the portal for communication between the members of the organization [which includes the administrators and the employees].

With these particular points of function, Kris Corporation is able to make a distinct use of the benefits of being connected within an online network that is able to impose a definite instance on how the business itself develops in the industry. Connecting to its employees and its clients through online and website portals, Kris Corporation is currently getting what they can from the system, but are not getting the best out from the internet. Practically, the business further improves through time, and it is expected that as it expands, it shall also require a sense of distinct insistence on how modern ways of development should be embraced accordingly especially in relation to how it uses the internet. To make sure of this system to work for the organization, the utilization of a more advanced server is necessary; in this case, such point of resolution is seen to be connected to the emergent utilization of the new Windows Server 2012.

Issues to Address

There are currently two primary issues to be dealt with in relation to how the organization operates:

Disaster Recovery

Disaster recovery system entails the insistence of what is considered as the effective operation of how information is kept and managed accordingly. The protection that is imposed on the files and data that is stored within the servers of the company is an essential part of the operation that the business embraces at present. When unforeseen situations occur, such as the crashing of the connection in the internet or the whole server system as it is might put information shared by clients and the data kept by the administrators in danger, the utilization of an effective disaster recovery system could provide the needed security that the organization and its stakeholders deserve.

Physical Space for Servers

Although there are five operating branches of the business, the determination of specific server spaces may not appear to be a practical business choice for the organization. As part of the cost cutting operations that the organization engages in, reducing the space dedicated to physical servers would mean reducing the cost of maintenance and rent that the business pays for.

Implications of Development

The Windows Server of 2012 is one that is partnered and is distinctively assumed as the supposedly-linked system with Windows 8 that is usually used for touch –enhanced gadgets. The interface the system operates with greatly gives organizations a better sense of how to utilize the best benefits of the internet through extending the resources it provides for the organization to have access to. For the conditions and problems dealt with by Kris Corporation, the following features of Windows Server 2012 could be given attention to accordingly:

Active Directory

The active directory that windows server 2012 is noted for practically creates a definite instance by which the activities of the organization is kept at bay especially when it comes to storing data and having it ready for reference or distribution when authorized utilization of the said information is required. The effective partition of server sectors makes it possible for activities to be best allocated for space distribution allowing more users to access the data all at once.

Domain Name Server

The operation of the system that uses a dynamic domain server allows for the creation of a higher protection system that secures the overall data-source of the business. Practically, having this system effectively functioning allows the organization to be fully function especially in addressing the general needs of the administrators and the stakeholders accordingly.

Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol

Having a dynamic host configuration protocol allows the administrators to use a tracking system that best identifies well with what business improves well especially when it comes to determining the system of development that is needed by the organization that would further identify the point of growth that is aimed by the business.

Hyper-V

This feature of network virtualization allows the organization to set up a single server and allow several users to access the host server as if they are directly gaining such support operations directly from the main source.

Routing Security

With the intense provision of authorized access, the routing security operations are giving users the success that is needed by the organization to be able to establish a secured line that is best understood as the source of organizational competence.

Conclusion

Taking from the discussions presented herein, Kris Corporation would best benefit from the internet, given the fact that it does embrace a new sense of directive operation that is guided by the desire to make the best out of whatever the worldwide web offers the system that the business recognizes accordingly. With the realization of the full potential of the organization to embrace the function that is provided through the internet, the strategic way of penetrating the market fully through internet portals would best provide competence to the organization.
