The purpose of this study is to examine the role in which transformational leaders play in appropriately facilitating the creativity of their workers in contributing to the efficacy of work in the organization. By examining the behaviors of transformational leaders and their role in motivating employees to build their skills in which are able to encourage success, while also fostering positive employee outcomes. (Manzoor, 2012)The behaviors of leaders are an essential function within each organizational culture. Particularly the role of small business owners, which must look to replicate or implement within these settings. Due to the sparseness of research dedicated to assessing how transformational leaders are beneficial in small business settings, this study will utilize primary and secondary sources from various case studies, and research. Data used will focus on the behavioral traits of transformational leaders, their role in encouraging and motivating worker’s efficacy, organizational culture, and employee satisfaction that fosters an environment that leads to organizational success.

In conducting this research this study will add to field of study of transformational leaders and their influence on businesses. In assessing the role of transformational leaders understanding their traits of fearlessness, humility, willingness to put ego aside to create a greater change is the difference between being a good leader and a great leader. (Horton and Farnham, 2007) Among the different styles of leadership, transformational leadership has been the interest of many scholars; only a small number of literature has been devoted to highlighting the role of the style of transformational leadership that fosters creativity in employees that mediates creative self-efficacy in the context of organizational success. (Mittal and Dhar, 2015; Kovjanic, Schuh, Jonas, Quaquebeke, and Van Dick, 2012) In organizations such as small business settings, focusing on building employees that share the qualities needed to enforce teamwork, cooperate, and collaborate in the organizational culture. This study will also add to the transformational leadership effect in medium and small businesses in which has been a growing industry throughout the United States.
