A Short Guide to Writing About Social Science, GCSE Coursework Example

I agree that it is important to combine a knowledge of the DNP essentials with an understanding of necessary research in order to positively contribute to the medical field (American Association of Colleges of Nursing, 2015). Furthermore, I understand that it is important to have a knowledge of research even as an individual in a nurse executive role. Overall, the best leaders have a full knowledge of the field. A combination of research and administrative knowledge is beneficial because it will contribute to a better understanding of the gaps that are present in the current literature in addition to how these understandings could be used to benefit a particular health care institution. Innovation is necessary in health care because it will positively contribute to the patient experience.

I agree that your research question is important because it would be interesting to define minimum requirements for the nurse executive position, if necessary. However, instead of asking if requirements should be in place, it would be more beneficial to ask which should be in place. Asking “should” restricts your ability to provide suggestions to the reader, while other question words like “how”, “why”, and “what” enable depth (Cuba, 1997). Academic minimums could be one of these standards, but it is possible that experience could serve as a substitute for education. For example, some individuals could have experience in research outside the context of the DNP program. I am interested in hearing more about this topic as it pertains to current understandings in the literature. Because it is likely that this question has not been investigated in the past, I look forward to hearing about the findings and seeing how these understandings could potentially alter nursing practice.
