Describe the Scene of a Firework Display, GCSE Coursework Example

Pages: 1

Words: 328

GCSE Coursework

It was a crowded night full of excitement. People were going to the beach in large groups thinking about what they were about to see. It was just getting dark and children were running in the sand with excitement. People have been there for hours, waiting until it would become dark enough. Finally, the sound of fireworks appeared. The crowd, still arriving in packs, began to cheer because they were happy. Children couldn’t keep their eyes off of the sight.

Far away from the people sitting on the sand, was the ocean, lying in the distance. It seemed lonely because no one was near it. For the first time in the day, it was completely quiet compared to everything else happening. The waves would come in slowly, but it’s like no one even noticed. The fireworks were in the eyes of the ocean, making the ocean have light as if it were a part of the fireworks. But, nothing was moving in the ocean. No fish. No boats. It was completely silent, as if it were dead in the light of the firework display.

In the middle of the sand, a small bonfire was started. Small children were dancing around it and singing. One family decided to use it to make marshmallows. It was a beautiful sight with the fireworks in the background.

The fireworks themselves were bright. Brighter than anyone could imagine. They were full of color and made a lot of different shapes that no one expected. One even looked like a smile face. It was clear that the fireworks reflected the mood of the happy people that night.

When the last firework sounded, people seemed disappointed. It was time to leave, but they wanted more. Many were sad by this but they knew that they would come back next year. They loved the fireworks and they will come back every time to enjoy the firework display at the beach.
