War reduces man to the level of the animals

Erick Maria, who was born in 1898, was placed for front on World War 1. Being a teenager he underwent different experiences and life style in the war. Generally, he had to leave school and was absorbed for front on the Germany military force. Though, at the age of eighteen years, he went to western front in the war. Being at the battle field Remarque found an elder solder who was nicknamed Kat, and become his mentor and his comrades also. However, in this historical event, war had the ability to reduce man to an animal in many ways. According to this article, Remarque lived as an animal with his allies and fellow soldiers hiding in the bush, no time for relaxation or  relating with his family and friends, he had to live on the run day and night and fighting for his country, just to mention but a few.  In this regard, the aspect of hiding in the bush during the war and becoming as dirty as animals (Remarque and Wheen 1). Notably, this article illustrates that Erick Marie with lack of military experience accompanied by his fellow schoolmates joined the army had to be reduced to the level of animals because of the harsh condition accompanied during the war period. Additionally, the environment made them dirty, with toned clothing as well as they hard to service the fighting hence; no time for cleaning up. This article focuses so much on this on Erick Marie and his friends for the injury he got as well during the war and they had to face death by their eyes (Remarque and Brian 2). For instance, this made many soldiers to be dropped on the ground during the war, as they had no time to say their last prayers. Significantly, the impact of the war on his life was a great deal, this article illustrates Remarque narrating his story with a lot of pain as he states that they had to eat world fruits for survival at times making them to have a life style of world animals. In that note, this made them to mature in the field of the war to the extend we find him saying that he has grown in war and matured in it. Nevertheless, they were exposed to the harsh  environment of war were they had to lack food and water just as animals at times pass hard conditions for survivals. On the other hand, this made them to become preys during the front line fights hence it taught them a lesson to camouflage and fight to defend their country. Despite lacking experience, as he was a school pupil while joining the military for war Erick had to learn it the hard way. Life seemed so tough when they frequently lacked provision of water and meals (Remarque and Wheen 1).  In point of fact, this made them to search for water and any other meals like world animals the article states that camping at the river side was a precious thing to them and they felt close to home as well. However, they had to live in fear and worry every day and john states this. He s elaborates that, during the last days of the war while Germany was retrieving from the war he saw his friends fall each day one by one. Nonetheless, the fall of Kat was a terrible experience in his life since this was a person he counted up on for instruction and direction. Additionally, this made him not see the future as Culm and bright but had the fear of an animal each passing day.
