Application for Salary Increase, Personal Statement Example

Pages: 1

Words: 335

Personal Statement

I have been a dedicated employee of this organization for about ten years now and my work history affirms my professionalism, dedication, and hard work. I have always been committed to continuous learning so that I am able to provide the best possible care to patients. This is why I decided to pursue my nursing undergraduate degree and soon after graduation I passed the NCLEX exam.

I have really enjoyed my work and have met wonderful people that I hope to be a lifelong employee of the company. This is why I request an increase in my salary so that it more appropriately reflects my knowledge and skills and motivates me to improve even further. My long tenure with the company gives me a unique advantage because I have an insider understanding of the company’s strengths and challenges. A unique combination of my professional experience and academic background will enable me to significantly improve the quality of patient care and also provide leadership to fellow colleagues. I believe dedicated employees are one of the greatest assets of any organization because they do not only improve productivity but also reduce costs in the long term due to lower turnover rates. When employees’ morale is high, they are also more likely to go out of their way in order to help the organization achieve its goals. I believe my request for higher salary due to improved academic and professional credentials is in line with the industry trend as nursing professionals with advanced professional and academic credentials indeed earn some of the most attractive salaries (Santiago).

I thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to consider my request. Please do not hesitate to let me know should you have any questions. I will be glad to meet you in person and discuss how I can use my skills and strengths to achieve organizational objectives. You may reach me at [email protected] or at 123-333-3333.
