One ubiquitous assertion about human behavior, especially in the western world, is that men are most attracted to young, blonde females rather than their brunette counterparts (Saad, 2012). Moreover, they are attracted to blonde women who had a small waste and large, child-bearing hips because large hips indicate that a woman is more apt for reproduction so they are more sexually desirable. Large breasts are also purportedly barometers of a woman’s age. Blonde women often have blue eyes, which is why men prefer to date women with blonde hair and blue yes. Such a undeniable and universal assertion is applicable to both men and women alike. Scientists suggest that when humans are exposed to something they have a natural propensity and affinity towards, their pupils dilate, which is why women’s pupils spontaneously dilate when they see babies. Pupil dilation thus is a fitting indicator of human attraction or natural interest, and pupils in blue eyes are the easiest to measure. For this reason, individuals with blue eyes are rendered the most attractive and the best mate due to the fact that it is discernible if they are attracted or interested in another person. This hypothesis is somewhat weak, however, because it lacks evolutionary currency and does not fully explain idiosyncrasies inhuman attracted predicated solely on eye color. As such, alternative theories are necessary to validate this assertion of human behavior.
Another interesting assertion of human behavior is that human beings are naturally polygamous, which is why so many people have affairs once they get married (Prince, 2011). Unfortunately, such an assertion lacks currency in discussions about morality, which is at the core of this postulation. Indeed, it is hard to discern whether humans as a species has always been polygamous throughout the trajectory of evolution and if that had any bearing on what is considered natural, “good,” or moral in the current day. Some psychologists argue that sexual dimorphism that exists between males and females indicate that females prefer robust, muscular, and big men while men conversely monopolize their female counterparts. All men want to monopolize all women, which is why they have affairs with others. In addition, the strongest, biggest men are the ones who eschew long-term relationships in favor of having multiple sexual partners.
