Leadership is often considered as an element of definitive condition that defines an organization’s possibility of becoming strong, productive and successful. In the article from the world Academy of Science, leadership was defined as an authentic process that starts from the beginning and stretches out to a long time application. Basing the study on three particular focus questions; the article discusses the different dimensions of leadership and what specifically makes it an element of organizational success especially in relation to engineering operations. The said three questions are as follows: (a) to what extend authentic leaders promote subordinates trust in them and their work engagement? ; (b) how does subordinate’s trust in leaders facilitate employees work engagement? ; (c) how does trust mediate the relationship between leadership authenticity and employees work engagement? (750)
In consideration with the questions mentioned, the researchers intended to consider how authentic leadership actually works towards the condition of particular organization’s status in the different industries that they are engaged with. Trying to establish the core of the study on the existence of trust among leaders and their subordinates, the study intends to engage personal condition of thinking towards a connection on how organization conditions intend to grow through time and experience.
Defining trust as the willingness to rely on another (750), the researchers imposed that it is with the occurrence of this particular emotional assurance that leadership becomes authentic, applicable and distinctively definite in defining the thoughts and the extent on how a person could and would affect the process by which an organization operates as a whole. Through such definition, the researchers intended to show how effective leadership depends on how the people they guide actually responds to the process of assistance and direction they are intending to imply. Relatively, it is the condition of development of positive response from the people that could provide the leaders with a good reputation with which the whole organization would be able to rely on in later years of operation; this would further allow the leaders to affect their people and their company in a much positive approach.
Overall, the dedication of the leaders to their task, their people and the organization itself is presented in the study as the core source of leadership-competence that people intend to look for. It is through this assumptive process of application of procedures that individual leaders are able to considerably provide good support to their organization and their people while they are also establishing good names for themselves in the industry they are engaging in. The chain reaction between the leaders’ attitude towards the thinking and the response of the people provides a good sense of explanation on how a particular leadership approach could be considered successful or not. Regarding this case, it could be said that the entirety of the research is relatively reliable especially in identifying the role of leaders and the influence they could have upon their people and the organizations they are working for. In a way, the research proves how authentic leadership provides not only the backbone support for an organization’s success, but also introduced new engagement of changes, challenges and developments that are sure to provide organizations with the consistent source of development that they need to remain intact in the face of strong competition in the market. With proper understanding and application of the concept of leadership suggested in the research, proper leadership could be introduced to organizations, thus getting the best benefits out from the said aspect of organizational development and guidance as described in the study presented.
