Bachelor Degree in Agriculture Science, Personal Statement Example

There is so much that lies in our inner self, but it takes ages to realize the whole truth.  Everything we do, more especially when we are young describes the person we make in the future. I happened to come from a very humble background, with my mother a peasant farmer. She could grow a variety of fruits and vegetables, and I always opted to go to the market with her to sell off the stuff. I could admire the strategic ways mum could use to attract customers, and within a twinkle of an eye, all our products could sell. Little did I know that one day I could pursue a bachelor’s degree in agriculture and that at one point, I could put my mum’s selling strategies into use.

Marketing is an inborn career. A marketer always develops ideas for the betterment of a product. A marketer can transform a non-selling item into a hot cake. In my secondary school, I participated in agricultural shows to promote products from my school farm. I could overturn a farm product, and then convince someone to purchase it. Oranges, mangoes, pineapples, and bananas were just some of the few farm products produced in our school, and I could display them strategically in my tent to attract customers.

My high school formed the basis of my career and I pursued a bachelor’s degree in agricultural science, back in 2005. There, in 2006, I secured myself a job as an assistant of the marketing manager of a company. I worked with the company for five years where I subjected my marketing experience into use.

Having served in the marketing field for five years, I have developed the desire to further my education in the field of marketing.  I would wish to pursue a graduate program (MS) in Marketing.  I have set realistic goals and have a focus on achieving them. I have adequately prepared and consider this as the best time to pursue my graduate studies.
