It`s important to note that mathematics as it is regarded the gate and pass key of science. As this statement implies that the study of science employs mathematics to a great extent. Therefore, all the education in science that fails to commence with mathematics is regarded to be having a defective foundation. The neglect of mathematics in respective education works injury to all knowledge.

The essential elements mathematics uses includes five elements comprising; axiom, definition, hypothesis, theorem, and proof. The clarity of concepts used in arguments is elaborated by the creation of definitions. The axiom concept has an obvious truth and requires minimal elaboration in finding its proof. The hypothesis is an idea that is yet to be proved. Therefore, ultimately if a mathematician supplies a proof for the hypothesis by deductive reasoning it is referred to as a theorem.

The vigor in mathematics is mainly due to its back tracking to the beginning to prove the concepts explained earlier. In the 20^th century, a book “Principia Mathematica” was written by Bertrand Russell and Alfred North Whitehead. In it, Russell, a mathematician, philosopher, and logician was trying to achieve “perfect mathematics which would eliminate all doubt.” Skeptics hold the idea that there is no absolute truth. In response, Russell said, “Of such skepticism, mathematics is a perpetual reproof; for its order of truths stands un-deterred and inexpungible to all the weapons of doubting cynicism.”

The understanding of a particular cause and effect in a context is described as insight. It holds multiple related meanings; the turn or outcome of understanding the inner structure and nature of things or seeing intuitively in a piece of information, introspection, the power of acute observation and deduction, discernment, penetrating, and the understanding of the cause and effect centered on the identification of behavioral relationship within a model, scenario, and context.

Mathematical insight involves shedding of light on the underlying concepts on a few topics. It is aimed at qualitative description rather than attaining all technical details precise. Most of the pages are readable introductions to the basic idea before the student`s attend lectures on the topic.

The two main concerns in the pedagogical study of mathematics involve the manner of arrangement or the method of presentation to the students. There is an intimate connection of mathematics with the everyday life and necessary for the successful conducting of affairs. Therefore, the insight aspect in mathematics is seen to overshadow the rigor that is evidently manifested in mathematics. Insight involves virtually the entire mathematics; ranging from pedagogical study, qualitative description, and intimate connection with the day to day life.
