Article Review

The comparison between the airline safety protocols used to prevent air crashes between Korea and America is the primary topic discussed in this article. Klein points out that at times, it is not just the aircraft’s engineered design that should be given attention to when it comes to investigating on what happens when particular crashes occur. Relatively, the intervention of human attitude in relation to the situation should also be given specific importance. To make a notable indication of this fact, Klein points out how history proves the fact that human culture does have a great impact on how aircrafts are managed. In the case of the Korean Air, which has incurred several accidents more likely at a higher rate compared to any other airline in the world, it was evident how the organization embraced the need to change their manner of management based on cultural adjustments.

The capacity of the human brain to understand why and how matters happen play a great role in deciphering major issues of aircraft management and mismanagement occurrences in the past; carefully seeing through matters impose a great need of utilizing the mind’s capacity to decide on what matters most and what elements need to be readjusted. In the same manner, developing a better culture of managing airlines and air-operations depend on the capacity of the personnel involved in the situation to be more concerned on what specific adjustments they are likely supposed to give attention to so as to improve the way they operate for the public. The development f such instinct, as based from the reading could be accounted from the connection that the personnel have on the process of operation that they have been handling for several years. Being accustomed to the procedures, it would be easier for them to pinpoint which specific matters are likely in need of being adjusted. Such perception of connection does create a more supporting condition that implicates a better source of resolution for the problem at hand.
