Create Personal Value, Article Review Example

There is a certain peace to modern society. Peace however may lead in to indolence. In indolence there exist a lack of drive to be creative or to do things of value. This is also true if a person is busy fulfilling work obligations and therefore lacks time to dedicate to more creative pursuits, or pursuits in which a person’s identity may be found (through time for self-reflection). More people are choosing to hold a steady job as opposed to risking lack of a job for artful fulfillment. I think that creativity as well as personal value are very important, perhaps more important than holding a steady job. I believe this because there’s a lot to be said about personal satisfaction and I believe that self satisfaction can be found more with following passion than following societal standard.

If a person has follow through as well as tenacity then that person may develop a creative lifestyle in which an “eternal life” may be found. When I say eternal life I mean this not physically but metaphysically: such as, eternal life through remembrance. A person may be remembered through great acts of kindness that they’ve fostered through their life, and that lives beyond the person’s death. This is found with Walt Disney who gave children the world over not only entertainment, but laughter. That’s his legacy, aka “eternal life”.

Overall, personal value can make life wonderful and can help people keep an optimistic attitude because they’re satisfied in the work that they’re doing and satisfied that this work will be what they’re remembered for. If a person choses to create his personal value, that means he has to face a lot of troubles on his way to success. I would say this person is lucky because they’re doing what they like. Human progress is made by personal-values people, they are very hard workers, easily displeased with themselves because they want their work to be recognized, but also very happy, and there’s no price tag on happiness.
