This paper provides an understanding of the concept of human suffering.  It is both a defining quality and a limited experience of human conditioning.  The cultural appropriation of this is brought about by natural disasters, diseases, famine and wars.  The concept is explored through cultural appropriation of suffering in our times today.

This paper examines the scepticism and attacks on environmental scientists and the subject of criticism from different lobby groups.  It draws upon comparative analysis from other authors like that of Michael Crichton in his 2004 novel ‘State of Fear’.  The analysis explores cultural relationships between that of environmental scientists and activists.

Examines cultural appropriations across a range of technical capital.  The aim of this paper is to use cultural and technical capital as a sensitizing framework for exploring novel ways of thinking about information and communication technology and  social inequalities. Examination is focused on black women and concepts of racism, sexism and cultural abuse.
