To set the foundation of analysis to be completed in this paper, the Six-Box Model of Organizational Diagnosis shall be used to analyze the growth and transformation of both HP and Home Depot. The six box model is basically revolves on evaluating six of the most important points that define good organizational management. These six categories include (1) purpose; (2) structure; (3) relationships; (4) rewards; (5) leadership; and (6) helpful mechanisms (Marshak, 2005). These six categories are basically dependent on the course by which the management creates different possibilities that could improve the ways by which the business operates.
These six categories are designed to give the analysis report a deeper value especially when it comes to redefining how the different operations of the organization are actually able to shield the business from failure and instead aid it towards development and growth (Kotter, 2011). Through identifying well with these concepts of operation, it could be realized that climbing up the ladder towards organizational improvement could be well guided accordingly.
Diagnosis Detail Discussion
For Hewlett Packard’s operation, the current purpose of the company is still in par with its original goal of creating innovative technological solutions to office operations that are most commonly completed by the target market at present. Included in the markets served by the company are offices, businesses, and users of personal computers. Such purpose follows through with the structure of the organization which is largely dedicated and focused on research, innovation and effective marketing (Philips, 1983). With the competition that the company has with other organizations, the business intends to establish close relationship with loyal customers this investing on the manners by which the demands of the said customers are met accordingly. With the use of social network marketing, the company is able to reach out to the target market and get the attention of the prospective clients accordingly. The rewards approach the business utilizes aims to make the employees of the organization feel more appreciated this affecting the overall aspect of leadership that the business embraces at present. With the help of effective IT operations, the organization is able to embrace a new found course of reputable name in the market that strongly affects the overall name of the company in the face of massive competition in the industry.
Home depot on the other hand is one specific organization that is dedicated to improving the ways chores are done in the modern home. With such purpose, the organization aligns its structure of operation to market survey and innovation that is aimed towards making a distinct impact on how the business eases out home-operations and activities which basically define the way they want to exist for their target market. This approach improves and strengthens the relationship they share with their market. Using promotional strategies, which is a definite course of enticing clients to appreciate their product line, Home Depot is able to attract the attention of the public into checking out what they have to offer and probably buy what picks their interest. The leadership of home depot specifically gives attention to how the employees’ and the clients’ values are served accordingly. With such goal the organization tends to create a massive effect on how they are utilizing IT solutions to make sure that everything they are creating to innovate their products get recorded for references of development accordingly.

Strengths
HP is noted for quality and innovation, something that its competitors are also noted for. Nevertheless, the reputation it has established for years allows it to embrace an acceptable name among the members of the market that they serve. |
Opportunities
With the new gadgets released by competitors, HP could create its own version of a more innovative piece that responds to the current demands of the market accordingly. Creating something better that what the competitors are offering. |
Weaknesses
The organization is not as flexible as its competitors are. It should be realized that the way the competition grows should be followed by HP accordingly especially in the hope of improving the way it handles the concept of modern business operation in the face of international trading challenges. |
Threats
Not only does the organization have to face competitions from largely noted international names in the industry, it should also be able to face the emergence of smaller businesses that are being born among smaller markets but are able to serve the general demands of the target buyers in the international scene of commercial trade. |
Effectiveness of Change Analysis
It has been realized through the analysis that HP and Home Depot, being pioneers in their own industries could be noted for their strength in facing the most effective way of developing a considerable pattern of development that both organizations take into account especially in responding to the different demands of the modern market. What makes such operational analysis particularly effective is that it is able to note the fact that both businesses could embrace a larger chance of developing a better sense of improvement in the way they serve the market accordingly. With innovation and operational adjustments, these organizations are able to take on the option of growing according to the demands of the market (Levin, 2012).
Potential Areas of Resistance and Response
As shown through the SWOT analysis in both organizations, the most imminent challenge that the organizations should take into account is defined by the fact that there are many incoming emerging smaller organizations that are able to provide the needs of the larger scope of the market. Through identifying the determinable option of growth, both HP and Home Depot could create something that would fit the needs and the capacity of the market to pay accordingly for such products.
Making sure that the businesses are able to provide what the market needs based on research operations, innovating with the resources available for the organization to use, these businesses are expected to thrive accordingly especially in the hope of making a distinct impact on how demands of the people are responded to accordingly by the products they create (Marshak, 2005).
