Summary

As per the article, it is noted that, the doctors are not taking in new Medicaid patients. This has in turn limited the efficiency and effectiveness of these services to patients as well; it has heightened absenteeism while on duty. Notably, the general service inspector made observations on the above. He found out that many patients prefer private hospitals since they offer better services and this is what is mostly affecting Medicaid services.

In this essence, the article illustrates the true challenge that has been facing Medicaid patients. In my opinion, patients use many finances for the Medicaid services, which in turn are not carried out effectively causing them to prefer private hospitals. Further, the article stresses that the doctors were unavailable in their places of work to meet their appointments (United States 2009). This is one of the findings elaborated by general inspector Daniel R. Levinson as he carried statistics on the issue above. It was noted that, the doctors either had retired or had not participated in this service as expected from them. Nevertheless, this has been one of the major limiting factors in Medicaid service, because of regular absenteeism or unreported cases. On the other hand, the eight percent that was said to be at their work place were not involved in Medicaid plan. In that regard, this raises questions in the Medicare; which seems that patients are more that the doctors or the doctors are incompetent in their duties. Nevertheless, long periods in waiting for enrollment as well as high fee charged on patients has acted as a hindrance over this services. All this issues are in line with poor coordination, inaccuracy, and incompetency in the Medicaid service providers the government has to put more emphasis on this to save patients from receiving poor services.
