The review will examine the entire article on English as Foreign Language (EFL) learning and teaching in Saudi Arabia. It is evident from the article that EFL learning and teaching is Saudi faced numerous challenges that need to be addressed, which includes lack of authentic life-associated and meaningful materials. I agree with the author that the lack of these materials presents a problem with the education system in Saudi Arabia because many students will find it hard to improve their L2 proficiency. The article has presented considerable and helpful information that will help the educational stakeholders make informed decisions on ways of ensuring that the shortage is addressed through developing an effective curriculum to cater for the needs of these students. The article uses many studies on the same topic to support the major themes of the article. The article was excellent in addressing the topic by using a practical project to qualify the need to design effective curriculum for L2 students in Saudi Arabia (Ahmed, 2014). The project was presented in a way that was systematically tailored through the use of units, which makes it easy to understand. Furthermore, it is very encouraging the way the author has presented the ideas throughout. The article has been structured based on chapters that tackle the topic in an orderly manner that makes the article easier to comprehend. I recommend the article for scholarly purposes.  The article concludes that EFL teaching techniques in Saudi Arabia have failed to address the problems faced by EFL students, which has reduced proficiency among these students. This is a remarkable conclusion that is coupled with recommendations that will help major stakeholders to undertake the needed changes in the education sector.
