Electrical engineering is an area of engineering that deals with electricity, electromagnetism and electronics applications. Electrical engineering is well thought to deal with issues and problems connected with systems and machines such as electrical machines and electric power transmission. Electrical engineers commonly deal with the use of electricity in transmission of electric power.

An electrical engineer deals with designing, improving and maintaining products which produce electricity or which are powered by electricity.  Occasionally, an electrical engineer will offer his/her time and energy to a particular electrical product, such as generators, motors, communications systems or wiring system. For example, an electrical engineer can design a vehicle’s electrical system whereas an electronics engineer can design the vehicle’s computer system, whereby the vehicle’s electrical system supplies power to the vehicle’s computer system. Occasionally, however, both types of engineers are referred to as electrical engineers.

An electric engineer often works with a group of other engineers. He/she must be proficient in using a wide range of engineering software as well as a range of laboratory equipments. He/she should also be in a position to give comprehensive instructions for the production and use of the end product. The engineer is in charge administering the installation of the final product to make sure that the installation is done safely and properly.

The engineer is required to create some instructions, specifications and technical drawings, which can be followed so as to guarantee that the end product will be appropriately installed and properly operated. An electrical engineer can spend a considerable amount of his/her time and energy meeting with other engineers to talk about various projects. They frequently work jointly so as to come up with results to the challenges and problems which they face as they work on projects.
