Employee selection is a process of collecting as well as evaluating information on an individual in order to extend an employment offer. Employees’ selection is part of an organization’s overall staffing process, which includes human resource recruitment, planning as well as retention activities. By undertaking the human resource planning within the involved organization, the demand arising for personnel with the required knowledge, skills, and, abilities might shoot (Alexandra-Joëlle & Marie-France, 2010). This is used in comparison with the anticipated availability of the required personnel in both the internal and external labor markets. During a staffing recruitment face, the organization gets contacts with the potential applicants of the job. This is through job postings in the organization, advertising in order to attract the external applicants, and other methods depending on the organizations type and the nature of the job in question (Lepak & Gowan, 2010).

Effective employee selection is a crucial component of any successful organization. Essentially, job performance is determined by the ability of an individual to be involved in a certain job and effort that the person puts forth in performing the job. The employee selection process includes various aspects should be considered in order to get the right employees for jobs in organizations. One of the main factors is the job analysis, which is the systematic study of the job’s content in the organization. This helps in displaying a given work that a person occupying a certain job does in performing it (Alexandra-Joëlle & Marie-France, 2010). An organization can specify the knowledge, abilities, and skills that are needed in a job through the understanding of its description. Job requirements are can also be referred to as the necessary KSAs, which shows their capacity to undertake an assigned job. These requirements are expressed in terms of desired training, identified abilities, and work experience (Lepak & Gowan, 2010).
