Twenty-fifth Update of the Federal Agency Hazardous Waste Compliance Docket

The agency involved in this proposed change of regulations is the Environmental protection agency, which aims at ensuring compliance concerning hazardous waste disposal, storage and transportation. The objective of the agency is to ensure that environmental policies formulated, implemented and updated to ensure environmental conservation (Powell 76). The task of the agency is dealing with the responsibility of ensuring the policies regarding the issue to do with the environment effective, is not in conflict with other relevant laws and conserves the environment.

The interest in the proposed regulation stems from the objective of this regulation. The regulation aims at achieving an improved standard of handling storage and transportation of the hazardous waste. The update aims to improve the list of facilities accredited with the handling of hazardous waste and based in the assessment of these facilities on the subject. The interest is on the necessity of the proper handling storage and transportation of hazardous waste in the quest for environmental conservation (William et al. 54). The proposed update goes towards this goal in updating the compliance docket on the hazardous waste compliance. The proposed update ensures that compliance with the provisions on the handling of hazardous waste is according to the policies provided by the agency and facilities, which handle this waste act in accordance with the required standards.

The aim of the comment is to portray the importance of the proposed change in the environmental conservation perspective. The comment summarizes the objective of the proposed change. The comment to the proposed change started on the 6 November 2012.
