Florida International University (FIU), Personal Statement Example

I would like to express my interest in receiving a scholarship at Florida International University (FIU).  As a student in the Corporate MBA Program at FIU, I look forward to completing my studies here in order to pursue my goals.  My strengths and goals, I believe, can be beneficial to this program at FIU, combined with the expertise and training that I continue to receive.

The program here at FIU is one in which I continue to look forward to completing my degree.  Seen in many of the distinctions the College of Business Administration has received, it is truly among the elite in the country, with many distinctions placing it within at least the top 15 or 15%, in some aspect, such as “Best College” or for a particular program.  This truly is the type of environment that would greatly benefit my educational and career goals.

My goals can be seen against my personal background quite well.  Proudly I am the only member of my family to go to college, where I continue to receive a top-level education here.  Furthermore, in the future I would love to start my own business and become an entrepreneur.  I believe the skills that I learn here at FIU could transform my ambitions into something that I can work towards and realize.

In regards to my career goals, I believe that my experience in the business environment would be a great asset in these aspirations, and to this institution.  With over twenty years in the business environment, I am optimistic as to the benefit of my training and education here, combined with my own experience and goals.  Confidently I look towards my future as my knowledge and experience continues to develop at FIU.

One extent of my education I look forward to is in my interactions with the faculty at FIU in the Corporate MBA program.  Their expertise in what I am studying is a distinct advantage that I plan to take advantage of in my development.  I truly have much to learn and eagerly await such dynamics to my education.

Personally I feel that growing as an individual and professional at FIU is an important step in my education.  It is important to not only value the direct education that I receive, but other qualities as well.  With a distinguished faculty in the program, I feel that I will be able to learn how to grow in character as a professional.  In this endeavor I will be able to apply not only my education and training, but my character and professional nature as well.

Overall this is where I see the basic movement of my learning experience.  Truly the level of education I will receive at FIU is top-notch, evident in my time here and in the regard that FIU has drawn around the nation and world.  Yet also I must devote myself to grow individually in order to truly be successful in the business world.

Personally I feel that I have much to offer and learn here at FIU in the Corporate MBA Program.  My dedication and experience to the business world is without question in my mind.  In my commitment to my education and overall development, I look forward to engaging in this program to increase my knowledge and training.
