For people who travel, receiving good hospitality is a true blessing.  As a frequent traveler and explorer myself, I can appreciate the various elements in which hotels and restaurants can provide customers with exceptional experiences.  My exposure with the hospitality industry has been so positive, that it is my goal to be able to provide fellow travelers and explorers with the same phenomenal experience.  The Glion Institute of Higher Education is renowned for its excellence in its ability to mold students and to develop their leadership skills that ensure their success in the hospitality field.  My acceptance at this institution would help to provide me with the necessary skills in order to make my dreams a reality.

Part of my fascination with traveling is that I enjoy interacting with all types of people and learning about their cultures.  I have a deep appreciation for different cultures.  I feel that in order to better understand different cultures, it is essential to learn their language.  For this reason, I am fluent in English, Turkish, and Arabic, and plan on learning more languages in the next few years.  I enjoy learning and my favorite subjects in school are Business Management and Human Geography.  As of right now, I am interested in pursuing either a Bachelor of Business Administration in Hospitality Management or a Bachelor of Arts in Hospitality and Sustainable Development in Tourism.  Both of these majors promise to develop students into internationally successful leaders.  The Bachelor of Business Administration in Hospitality Management seems focused on the financial and economic end of hospitality, while the Bachelor of Arts in Hospitality and Sustainable Development seems geared more towards interaction with customers and providing a pleasurable experience.  I am confident that the faculty at the Glion Institute of Higher Education will help to guide me into the right specialization.

I have always been a natural leader with an entrepreneurial spirit.  My leadership philosophy is to guide people by serving them first.  The Glion Institute of Higher Education emphasizes a “hands on” learning experience that I can respect.  I am excited about learning how to properly manage a hotel; I know that I will need to learn about the hospitality industry from the “ground up.”  Tasks such as laundry, inventory, and chores in the kitchen will be necessary to better help me to fully grasp every detail in relation to hospitality.  Since I love to bake and cook, I am excited to study how to manage a kitchen.

After graduating with my bachelor’s degree from the Glion Institute of Higher Education, I plan to operate and manage an international hotel, where people can go to receive the “five star” treatment.  In order to achieve this goal, I want to first gain actual experience as an employee with another hotel.  Additionally, I plan to further my education post-graduation.  After earning my bachelor’s degree, I plan on pursing a Postgraduate Degree in Hospitality Management to obtain the necessary tools and skills to start my own successful international hotel.  I am looking forward to the postgraduate internships that will better prepare me for the field of hospitality and perhaps establish a connection with a prospective employer.  After I have worked for another manager for a few years, I will be ready to operate my own facility.  I know that the responsibility with operating and managing my own hotel will be great, but the sense of accomplishment that it will give me will be well worth it.
