Introduction

God is seen through different sights and different aspects of belief. Religious groups have tried the best they could to describe the being of an omnipotent being. Having different religions interpret the being of a supreme being, it has began to make certain course of confusion among the different individuals making up the modern community of believers. As a result to this, the need for better definition of God and his being has become a common research among the academic institutions that pursue theological studies. Among the most defined researches is that of Christopher Holmes’ God’s Attributes as God’s Clarities: Wolf Krötke Doctrine of the Divine Attributes. Although the article is basically a connective reflection on how Holmes understands Krotke’s arguments on the divinity of God’s attributes, his article is considered a clarified distinction on how God’s being is actually shown through the different aspects of his creation and the historical notes on his son and the life he has lived on earth [based from Biblical reports].

Brief Summary

The article of Holmes specifically talks about two particular factors that characterize the attributes of God. First, is that of the fact that he is luminous in himself and second is the fact that he communicates his unique characteristic especially through the being of Jesus Christ. Relatively, this research specifically indicates a great impact on how humans intend to see through the different situations that God’s being is represented through the different aspects of the different historical events that occurred through time especially in relation to his son, Jesus Christ.
Holmes tries to expose the different elements by which God is represented in many different aspects of human living. First exposing the condition of human connection with God and second creating a connection of such recognition based on the Biblical records. Through these particular aspects of differentiation, Holmes tries to make a specific distinction on how God is supposed to be recognized fully by the human society. The proofs he presents are based both on biblical records and on the historical facts that are relatively connected to them. This makes it easier for people to understand and accept the idea that God is real and is existential even amidst the philosophies that try to prove otherwise.

Critical Interaction

The connective relationship between God’s personal luminosity and sovereignty and the fact that his son reflects so much about him makes the article of Holmes specifically viable and reliable. Specifically, historical notes on the existence of Christ prove the facts that are recorded in the bible. Holmes used references and research materials that would be able to support his arguments. This approach makes the arguments of Holmes even stronger and more acceptable. Notably, this approach is adapted by Holmes to specifically make distinctive indications on how the readers would be able to see through his argumentations and begin to accept and understand who God is. Pointing out to the public what he believes in and what he thinks is right as backed up by trusted references and other research materials specifically makes a great impact on how his argumentations are presented to his readers. Overall, even though Holmes research is considered a supportive documentation on another research about God’s divinity, his presentation was strong enough to make a strong impact on the argumentation he aims to convince his readers with.

Conclusion

Holmes as the basis of his argumentation about the existence and the attributes of the most Supreme Being specifically used Jesus, the actual personification of God. He imposes that through knowing the history behind Christ’s characteristics, a person would be able to see through God’s divinity and sovereignty as a whole. Supported by the argumentation of Krotke’s arguments in his own article, Holmes tries to create convincing argumentations that could specifically respond to the philosophies that try to convince the society otherwise. The personal supremacy of God as seen through his creations have strongly been given specific attention to in the article making it easier to understand especially for those trying to search for a good material that would point out the attributes of an existing God. Overall, this article does have a strong impact on how the people could specifically see through their own believes and try to understand how God’s existence is indeed proven and particularly reliable for the human society to believe in.
