The case opens up as a mere desire of Hock to possible gain more from her position as an accountant. She wanted so much from her work that she was willing to go through scrupulous acts in order to gain more from the company she was working for. The first step was to create an alliance with another partner company providing office supplies to her office. The American Corporate Supplies was the partner in the process to which Hock has created an alliance with. The continuous influx of green tip pens for the school became distinctively problematic especially that it has been a definite source of tension for Hock as she tried to fit in the inventory into the storage of the school for office supplies. Not having enough space anymore, she decided to stop the orders. This is where the commotion of the partnership started:

• During the process of completing the orders, Hock received a gift from American Corporate Supplies as a loyal client; she, however, cannot disclose this matter because she ordered the said products out of haste and the desire to cheat
• American Corporate Supply is now using such leverage of the gift to keep Hock ordering the green tip pens from them and likely not bringing in the products to avoid issues with the administration
• The consideration over establishing a case against American Corporate Supply cannot be made by Hock because she was part of the scheme in the first place. She is now being blackmailed to pay a rising rate of fees to the company for products they have never received.
• Hock’s resolution to the problem of faking checking accounts from the institution she was working for distinctively created more problems than resolve any of it.

These problems may have been contained if the accounting process that the institution adapted was electronically developed making it harder for the operator or the accountant to make any distinct alterations that could keep scrupulous activities behind the knowledge of the people. Hock’s actions could have been controlled if there were stricter policies that could have been used to make sure that the concept of accounting that she practices is evidently effective and transparent in placing the right transactions into record.
