Introduction

Healthcare organizations continue to evolve and grow in the wake of reforms and mandates to improve quality of care and access for all persons. This vision has been difficult to achieve because of the complexities related to insurance provisions, reimbursements, access to treatments, and other conditions. Healthcare delivery continues to improve on many levels with the introduction of new technologies and other resources to expand utilization and access for patients (Milstead, 2013). The healthcare system must be efficient through the consolidation of resources and the appropriate staff to meet expectations and improve quality of care in all healthcare environments (Milstead, 2013).

Analysis

The delivery of healthcare services requires expert knowledge of technologies that serve patients in different settings and support an organized information interface (Kovner, Knickman, & Weisfeld, 2011). It is important to recognize the value of information technology in advancing the objectives of a healthcare organization in areas such as patient care quality and testing, while also using social networking sites to improve visibility and connectivity to members of the community (Kovner et.al, 2011). The healthcare system must remain focused on collaboration among clinicians and patients to ensure that expectations regarding quality and services are met without compromising quality of care throughout different organizations (Cassel & Guest, 2012).

Conclusion

Healthcare in the United States must demonstrate a high level of organization and a focus on high quality care at the lowest possible cost to meet the needs of all patients (Smith, Saunders, Stuckhardt, & McGinnis, 2013). These factors must demonstrate a high level of collaboration and a focus on achieving care that supports patient care needs and expectations in the desired manner. The ideal healthcare system will serve many purposes and aim to promote a high level of quality and treatment that is effective in meeting patient care needs and expectations at all times.
