Audience Questions for Solving a Problem

• Who will care about the problem I’m discussing?

Those international students in AS who are interested in the topic are the one who will care about the problem I am discussing.

• Who will be able to implement the solution that I’m proposing?

Only those interested and willing to implement the proposed solution are the only group of audience who will implement the solution especially the ISSO.

• What background knowledge do these readers have about the topic?

The background information on the subject matter of the topic like the issue of international students

• Will their cultural background, age, or gender affect their reaction to my proposal?

The cultural background of the readers and the audience chosen do affect their reactions on the various aspects of my proposal

• What will my readers’ attitude be? Will they tend to agree, disagree, or be neutral about my ideas?

Most of the readers especially those who agree with our idea

Purpose Questions for Solving a Problem

• What reasons will be most persuasive for my audience?

Language barrier and diverse cultural background are the main persuasive reasons

• What kinds of evidence will my readers want me to provide?

Empirical evidence from varied empirical study would be the most accurate and reliable evidence in the proposal. These may include sources and examples

• What personal experience can I include that will be persuasive?

Experiences from past activities involving the same topic or idea would be the most appropriate and most persuasive.

• What do I want my readers to take away from this piece?

The main aim this piece is to enable the reader understand the issue at hand and be able in ASU to tackle similar problems on their own in the future

In order to pass out the piece of information that I have to other generation and share the same knowledge in trying to solve the existing problems

• Why do you care about the topic?

Similar care as indicated above

• What do you want your readers to think after they read your piece?

I want them to think on how this piece that can be used in the future generations to solve such problems as those under study in this piece

• Why is it important to write out your ideas for solving a problem?

Yes. It is important that my own ideas and general understanding of the issue are written as this would be used to solve further problem of the same nature
