Process analysis outline about how to build a computer
- When looking at things from a first timer’s perspective, building a computer from the ground up so to speak can seem like a very daunting task.
- However, it is a most satisfying project that a technologist can engage them in provided they successfully complete it.
- The first stage of the building process is accumulating all of the needed materials for assembly. The builder should note there are hardware and software stage of assembly.

- CD/DVD ROM

- Any necessary safety concerns
- Normal temperatures should checked

- Do not rest on a carpet while you are assembling a computer
- One should assemble and install a motherboard and CPU. These hold most of the venue for processing information. Secondly, the RAM and video card should follow in installation and lastly the hard drive and DVD drive.
- Once they have been plugged into the power, one should leave the case sides off and turn on the power. This is the decisive moment and one will see the lights come on the screen as well as the devices.
- If the machine does not power up or any devices do not come on, then unplug and check the connections again.
- Once the machine has powered up check the BIOS setup and make sure the motherboard recognizes the DVD drive and the hard drive. One can do this by keying around and checking for anomalies.
- The reason all of these components need to be functional is that they will be essential when installing the operating system in the computer.
- One can proceed to put the operating system CD or DVD into the hard drive and from there one can start to install the software. This shows the beginning of the software phase of the build.
