Blink Fitness Gym upper management has set the dual goal of increasing gym workouts and attendance. In order to reach this goal, concrete, efficient and innovative steps need to be taken. Such goals not only reflect the desire of Blink Fitness Gym to succeed as a company within the competitive fitness marketplace, showing itself to be a successful business; it also demonstrates clear commitments to the promotion of a healthy lifestyle, as well as the dedication to the gym user. Blink Fitness Gym is a private entity with business interests, but this does not mean that Blink Fitness is also not committed to serving the community’s where it has locations, promoting well-being and fitness.
In order to realize this goal, Blink Fitness needs to stress its core company culture and values of serving the community. This means that Blink Fitness is not merely satisfied with having high numbers of members to its various gyms if the members at the same time do not use our facilities. Whereas having high membership is obviously a key requirement for the health of Blink Fitness as a business, this is not sufficient to realize our aim of becoming a key member in the community, promoting a healthy lifestyle. In turn, if Blink Fitness honestly and sincerely demonstrates its commitments to the community, this can only lead to increased revenue for the company, as the community shall be drawn to the integrity of the Blink Fitness brand, which will become known as local pioneers in healthy lifestyle promotion. The photograph enclosed summarizes all of our most significant ambitions. Blink Fitness is to become an infectious part of the community, helping build the greater health fitness community, as well as creating our own community of members.
In order to realize these goals, the following strategy has been formulated, depicted as “five star goals” in the pictograph.
Increased engagement with customers
Blink Fitness Gym is blessed to have some of the finest fitness instructors available. Blink Fitness has historically always set a high standard for those instructors we employ, knowing that these instructors provide expertise as well as a support system to our clients. With ambitious, innovative and enthusiastic instructors, Blink Fitness can create an infectious fitness environment, encouraging through example as well as through knowledge, already existing members and the larger community, to dedicate themselves to a healthy lifestyle. However, this goal can only be realized by a more engaged approach on the part of our instructors. We need to demonstrate to our members and our community that the instructors and the gym care about their well being. For this reason, instructors must become more active with clients, being encouraged to know them on a first-name basis and become actively involved in their fitness lives. With this approach, the client will feel that the instructor is not someone who is superior to him or her, but is rather a friend who is concerned with their well-being and wants the client to maximize his or her potential through the use of the Blink Fitness facilities.
The establishment of more group related fitness activities
Blink Fitness Gym is dedicated to the community, but Blink Fitness Gym is also at the same time a community in itself. In order to maximize attendance and workouts, Blink Fitness must emphasize this dimension of community. Some clients may prefer individual work outs and this is their autonomous choice. However, with the promotion of more group related activities, we will create an infectious environment, where being a member of Blink Fitness is being a member of a team. (see enclosed picture) This sense of community will encourage individuals to work out, as the group activities strive to forge relationships. The effects of our social relationships are obviously crucial to how we act and perform in all aspects of society: by introducing more group related activities, Blink Fitness will therefore encourage higher client participation and the maximum of workouts, as we become a team and have shared goals. This atmosphere of community will have the added bonus of encouraging more members of the local population to join the Blink Fitness family.
Create an incentive/reward system for attendees
Blink Fitness wants to emphasize that we are not only satisfied with having a high amount of members. Blink Fitness also wishes to show its commitment to a healthy lifestyle. Therefore, the introduction of a bonus or incentive/reward system for attendees will show that we want them to use their membership as opposed to merely having a membership. Such a bonus system could, for example, be used to offer discounts on existing memberships which need to be extended. Furthermore, existing members could be encouraged through bonuses to signing up more members for the gym, offering various discounts. This, however, will only be a successful project if the client understands that Blink Fitness is committed to their health. In so far as Blink Fitness is committed to healthy lifestyle promotion, offering incentives to members for attendance would show that this is not merely empty rhetoric, but a sincere expression of purpose.
The organization of intra-business events
Blink Fitness has underscored that it is committed to the promotion of a healthy lifestyle within the community. At the same time, as part of a community, Blink Fitness is not alone in this goal. Exercise and fitness are one decisive part of a healthy lifestyle, but there are others. For example, a healthy diet is also crucial to leading a healthy life. On this basis, Blink Fitness should actively engage other businesses in the community which share the same ethical principles. Local restaurants and grocery stores which emphasize healthy foods may be actively engaged by Blink Fitness. For example, on the enclosed pictograph, I have rated local businesses on a 1 to 10 scale, which I believe share the same ethical values as Blink Fitness. Hu Wan Wholesale Foods stocks high quality bio-eco foods. Sheikh Imran Hosein, a local outlet, also promotes biological products, such as soaps. Promotions could be introduced between businesses, for example, food outlets offering discounts to those who are members of Blink Fitness, with Blink Fitness in return offering discounts for these same food outlets to existing members. Further promotions, such as contests, games and picnics could also be introduced. By closely connecting with those in our community who share the same ethical commitments, Blink Fitness will become a crucial part of the community, a beacon for healthy lifestyle. By supporting those who believe in our principles, we will further strengthen the healthy lifestyle community in our local areas, providing a boost to all businesses involved in health and fitness.
Personalized workout programs
Blink Fitness needs to show our commitments to our clients. On the one hand, this can be accomplished through increased group activities. On the other hand, this does not mean that we can overlook the individual needs of clients. When our trainers become involved in planning fitness and workout regimens on a personalized level, we show the client that his or membership is not an empty gesture.
In summary, Blink Fitness is a business, but a business that is also committed to promoting a healthy lifestyle. This means that Blink Fitness is not a business like any other: we want to improve the quality of life of our members, and this is demonstrated in the type of product we sell. Blink Fitness is not trying to promote any product to get ahead, but we have a product that we truly believe improves the quality of lives of our clients. By promoting this care and sincerity of our commitments, Blink Fitness can meet the demands of our customers, while also encouraging present customers and future customers to maximize their human potential.
