The authors conducted an investigation into how gender, social class and the life course adjustment affects divorcee among young couples between the ages 21 -30 years. Often infidelity is the major coause of the break up leading to divorce. As such, the study is valuable to the thesis.

This article outlines a study evaluating demographic, interpersonal and personality factors influencing couples towards committing infidelity. Samples of 506 men along with 412 women were engaged in the study. They were all in monogamous relationships. Questionnaires were administered to the sample asking reasons for possible infidelity. Findings revealed a number of variables of which sexual incompatibility was a major factor along with low happiness in the relationships. This information is essential in exploring the thesis.
