Macro-environment Analysis

Thermomix TM6 is not cheap. Its high price makes it affordable to a smaller population. However the expensiveness, it is both a blender and a cooker hence its worthiness. Its ability to apply WI-FI makes it up to date technologically. It gives users recipe from online. This way it eliminates outdated menus and argue for processed foods. Legally the device is certified. Lately the device has faced legal charges of exploding and burning users with hot water. Socially it is used widely. Its convenience in cooking has make it widely accepted.

SWOT Analysis

Strengths

Stable and good in appearance: It is a machine that can do a lot. Its size is reasonable-making it easier to store. It is made of a stainless jug. It has touchscreen. It has a guard for high heat cooking. It has a small that measure liquid like oil. The cup is designed for such liquids. The machine has scales. The scales makes it easy to measure ingredients, an added advantage to cooking. All the cooking ingredients are weighed in the machine not separately.

Performance: The speed of the machine at work is effective and efficient. It performs the work of a blender and a cooker. Within seconds it can mix pastry and baby foods. By setting the machine at speed 10 it is capable of crushing ice and changing rice into another form. By just tapping one is able to change the direction of the blades.

Features: By just touching a button the following can happen: whisking, caramelizing, blending, milling, grating, boiling, steaming, browning, kneading and emulsifying. The machine boast of those functions just by a touch. An added feature of the machine is the WI-FI, which connects its users to an online recipe.

Faster cleaning: the ease to separate the blades from the jug makes it easy to clean.

Weaknesses

Expensive: The product is relatively expensive in the market compared to other product. It is priced at around $1499 making it accessible to a smaller population. However its functionality out do its price. Time is important. One is able to have a properly cooked meal within seconds with the machine.

Noisy: At higher speed the machine makes a lot of noise. It is advisable to alert the members of the house when using it. It can be a nuisance at the house.

Reliability of Network: With poor internet connectivity one is not able to access the online recipe and some features that use the internet.

Opportunities

The machine is readily available in the market. It is a product that is accepted widely in the globe.

Threats

The machine faces the risk of competition from other products. Its noisy nature is a risk at home. It has the risk of relying on the internet. During network outages one cannot access online menus. It’s very sharp blades pose a risk of cutting a person during washing.

Industry Analysis

The machine competes in the industry of home appliances. The other players in the industry include KitchenAid Mixer, Zojirushi Breadmaker, and All-Clad Slow Cooker among others. This industry is highly competitive given that is an industry of home appliances. Many companies venture in this industry making it highly competitive. The industry is growing given every time new firms enter the industry. The primary success factors for a product competing in this industry include price and speed. The growth projections for this industry in the future is a projection of high growth rate.
