Master of Science in Finance, Application Essay Example

I am pursuing an MSF at this point in my career because I am seeking advanced knowledge on financial issues, which is also my passion. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, I worked as a private equity analyst. However, the pandemic forced me to quit my job and take over the family business as it was on the verge of closing. During my management, the company has grown exponentially to the extent that it no longer requires my intense supervision. This gives me a chance to expand my knowledge on the career path that has always sparked my interest. I have a passion for learning more about the contemporary developments and techniques in financial markets finance and attaining hands-on experience in financial analysis. An MSF will offer me a theoretical understanding and an in-depth idea of practical ideas to aid managerial decision-making in my family business and later in my career.

After completing the MSF, I would like to get back to my family business as an executive financial officer and use my financial skills and knowledge to expand the business further. The MSF will guide me as I venture into financial consultancy in my private firm in the long term. The Villanova MSF will help me become an expert in my field and therefore offer me an opportunity to become a consultant. The knowledge I gain from MSF will equip me to apply advanced analytic tools to solve complex financial challenges. I intend to contribute my expertise by integrating experience and knowledge and skills learned to evolve meaningful and optimal solutions to various challenges in finance.
