SWOT analysis

Mooses Tooth Co. and Cycle Works is an outdoor sports goods company that is new to the business but seeking to make great strides into the business. Te development of the company has proven to be quite an interesting journey that has seen the company develop in more ways than one. The following is a SWOT analysis of the company.

In terms of strengths, the company has an ideal location for its business in which it is exposed to a lot of foot traffic. The area (Nebraska) also boasts of having a stableeconomy which provides the company with some security (Hill, 54). During its time the company has developed a loyal customer base, which seems from its service and quality goods.  The company boasts of a multiuse trail that I accessible to 93% of the individuals in the area.

In terms of weaknesses, the company may struggle with the land costs and the taxes, which are a bit on the high side (Hill, 60). This limits the level of profitability for the company from their sale of goods.

The opportunities for the company are based on the area and it’s potential. There is an increase in the individual life trends, and as such the individuals may seek to buy the company products with the right advertising. The area is experiencing a growth in population and it can be an opportunity for growth of the company market. There is a lot of competition in the company area (downtown), which will allow the company to improve on its products. Its target market is not far from its location and as a result adequate marketing will make the target aware of the company location. (Westbrook, 46)

The major threats for the company are based on its environment. The fluctuations of the economy mean that the company’s market may cut down on spending that may affect the company sales (Westbrook, 69). The change in seasons will affect the company’s volume of customers at given times of the year and the use of the internet for purchasing ma affect the number of individuals that go outdoors for shopping.
