Personal/Professional Goal, Personal Statement Example

In determining my personal or professional career goals, I believe that personal goals are very essential in maintaining the professional success. My personal or professional goal is to become an expert in counseling field by finding solutions to the problems, helping people and giving back to community that which they cannot afford. Professionally speaking I know where my main interest lies: in becoming a professional or expert in counseling sector by helping those in needs.

I have done many duties in the counseling and psychological field which have really motivated me to become a professional and specialize in this field. I performed duties as a Detoxify Counselor where I was working with juveniles and adults in a treatment center in Glenwood springs, Colorado. I was assessing and analyzing the drug abuse and drinking problems. I also assessed and analyzed their drug abuse and drinking problems as well as monitoring their vitals throughout the night to ensure they did not go into seizure. I also worked as a patient Unit coordinator at Aspen Valley Hospital where I performed the clerical duties and assisting nurses with the doctors’ information. I also implemented the tests that were order into the computer system. I also assisted with the filing and answering the phones in the hospital. I have also worked as a correctional officer in Wyoming where I delivered high standards of conduct with my job performance. I also developed good relations with the other employees. I was also able to gain in depth knowledge and also experience in the correctional field. Currently I am working as an education specialist for a RTC lock down facility where I have carried out extensive research in locating the files of the students from other school districts as well as dealing with customers on daily or weekly basis. I have also delivered high standards of work ethics when it comes to organizing the daily census and the records.

I have also graduated from University of phoenix with AAS, in administrated Health. I am currently working on my Bachelor of Arts in clinical Psychology which will help me to improve my skills in psychology and counseling work.

I would love to find solutions to peoples’ problems, love talking and helping people and also giving back to community of those who cannot affords the basic needs. I believe with my good education background and work experience on the same will help me achieve my personal goal in psychology.
